Romania, officially the Republic of Romania, is a country located at the crossroads of Central, Eastern, and South-eastern Europe. It has an area of , square km. Bucharest is its capital and largest city. The inhabitants or natives of this region are called Romanian. There is much to see and do in Romania , from its beautiful Carpathian Mountains to lush fertile plains, flowing rivers and plentiful lakes. Virgin forests, rich flora and fauna, a bevy of brown bears and ancient caves and bones attract tourists and locals alike.

Romanian is the official and most spoken first language in Romania. There are several minority languages spoken in the country and these include Hungarian, Vlax Romani, Ukrainian, German, Serbian and Turkish.
