To these eyes that's actually the more striking of the two positioning options, but which will suit you will depend on your room and furniture.

Unfortunately, placing a soundbar in front of the TV in either position blocks the screen. A Sonos Beam Gen 2 would do the job, but something along the lines of the Arc should be considered a more appropriate starting point.
