BEING confronted by a photograph of a dead baby lying in rubble has led one woman to call for stricter controls over what pictures appear on Facebook. Catherine Badham, of Church Street, Upton-upon-Severn, was disgusted to find the picture on her timeline.

There are four churches, a primary school and many hotels, restaurants and public houses to suit all tastes and budgets. The High School is situated a short distance away in the neighbouring parish of Hanley Castle. The parish includes the rural areas of Longdon Heath and the Hook and in total has population of approximately people. Parish and Town Councils comprise the first tier of Local Government making decisions on behalf of their residents. In Worcestershire there are three tiers of local government with the second tier council locally being Malvern Hills District Council and the third tier council Worcestershire County Council. Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7. Meetings usually take place in the Council Chamber upstairs but are also held in the main hall if an attendee has difficulty getting up the stairs.
