Aldi wool

I aldi wool had it on my mind to start doing some Aldi yarn reviews. This idea came about because I have found their yarn to be a bit hit and miss at times.

It is nice that this is machine washable, it makes the finished project easy to care for. I did dry it flat although the label did not specify to do so. The fabric did not become noticeably softer or harder after washing and drying. This is not the softest acrylic I have ever felt but for its price I think that it compares well with other things that are out there. It is certainly not a scratchy acrylic and I could wear this next to skin.

So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the vast array of warm products recently at my local Aldi: electric blankets, electric mattress pads, slippers, warm socks, scarves, fleece sheets, and more. I had to resist the urge to buy every single warm thing in the store. They also wear well with time, as they are often thicker and sturdier than flannel sheets. These sheets are just as soft and warm as I expected. The fleece sheets come in Queen or King sizes, and my Aldi had two colors in stock: beige and a red-and-white pattern.
