The Arlong Pirates were a pirate crew led by Arlong. Every member of the crew was a fish-man , except for Nami who later left. They existed before the Sun Pirates but joined with them when they were formed. After the death of Fisher Tiger , they split from Jinbe 's crew after he became a Warlord and became their own crew once again. They believed they were above humans as the stronger species and looked down on them as inferior. After they were defeated, they were arrested.

The formidable members of Arlongs crew include; Hachi, a swordsman practicing rokutoryu, six-sword style with the help of his extra fish-man limbs; Kuroobi, a stern fish-man and martial artist; Chu, a fish-man capable of spitting water out of his mouth at high speed like bullets. Along with Arlongs own immense strength and abilities, the Arlong Pirates take on the Straw-hats individually in one-on-one fights. Luckily, Zoros 3-sword style helps defeat Hachi; Sanjis powerful kicks eventually outmatch Kuroobis fish-man karate; and even the cowardly Usopp exhausts Chu and puts his Usopp-hammer to good use. Aladdin is a brotula merman who is the doctor of the Sun Pirates. Choo is a smelt-whiting fishman and officer of the Arlong Pirates.
