A passport error could mean passengers are refused travel. With the summer holidays almost upon us, many people will be gearing up for a trip abroad. But one thing that can cause stress is checking that every traveller in your party has the correct documents. If someone has an issue with their passport or ID, it is likely that they will be asked not to board the plane. It is therefore important to check the rules well in advance of packing suitcases and planning routes to the airport. And the rules for domestic flights differ from international ones.

Looking for advice from anyone who flies regularly within the UK with Easyjet from Gatwick please. Husband and son 14 flew from a UK airport to Gatwick this morning. They are staying in Nottingham tonight. Their flight home is from Gatwick tomorrow and he needs to decide whether to risk it, or whether to take the train home north from Nottingham. Journey would be between 7 and 10 hours. If they did decide to risk it, my son would get on the flight and my husband would have to get the train home all the way from London. EasyJet terms and conditions state that ID is required, but has anyone ever been asked for it? I'm going to take photos of his driving licence and passport and send them to him in any case, but not sure whether that would even be accepted.

Online check in is quick and easy. You can check in between 30 days and 2 hours before your flight departs and you can download or print your boarding passes for all your flights. The best way to store your boarding passes is to use the free easyJet mobile App or you can choose to print them out.
