This newfound power was gifted to them by the ancient Startouch Elf Aaravos , which allowed them to draw in and utilize the life essence from magical creatures to manifest their spells.

Animation brings several benefits as it allows writers to create shows and even worlds that wouldn't be possible to capture effectively in reality - The Dragon Prince is such a show.
