In episode 7 of season 1 of Oz, entitled "Plan B," tensions rise within the prison walls as the inmates continue to struggle for power and control. The episode begins with one of the inmates, Miguel Alvarez, being attacked by a group of other inmates who are unhappy with his leadership in the Hispanic gang. This leads to a more significant power struggle within the gang, as the various members try to assert their dominance and position within the hierarchy. Meanwhile, Tobias Beecher, another inmate, is struggling with his own demons as he fights to come to terms with his past as an alcoholic and the harm he caused to his family. He turns to Sister Peter Marie for guidance and support as he tries to work through his issues and make amends.
