Professionals are encouraged to consider the whole of family approach to remain non-judgemental and neutral to ensure strong partnership and engagement. The training provides those who work with someone who experiences: difficulties in relationships; impulsive and destructive behaviours; changing emotions and strong overwhelming feelings with tools and strategies to decrease distress with a normalising and non-judgemental approach. Each participant will receive a workbook and a certificate of attendance of 6. A limited number of subsidised tickets are available for peer workers or people employed by NGOs supporting people with experience of BPD with priority for those with limited financial resources and students. She says happy, exciting, and great moments can interfere with decision making, and so can negative and aggressive emotions like anger, sadness, rage, frustration, prejudice , and more. She adds that impulsivity, catastrophizing, and avoidance can impact the ability to control emotions, noting that risk taking, avoidant behaviors and cognitive distortions increase stress hormones that cause tension, irritability and agitation.
